Manchester United’s Paul Pogba in action
The Premier League season is now five games old and whilst it is too early in the season to be making assumptions about who will finish where or who the stars of the show will be come the end of the campaign, it is still interesting to see how the statistics are shaping up at this early stage of the season.
So which Premier League player has been the most wasteful in front of goal so far this season?
Well it just goes to show that money can’t buy you everything, as the world’s most expensive player ever tops the list!
| Position | Team | Shot Off Target | Appearances | Mins Played | |

Manchester United’s Paul Pogba has missed the target 11 times in just four games, making him the most wasteful finisher in the Premier League so far this term. £89.3 million the Frenchman cost Manchester United – bringing him back to Old Trafford from Juventus and so far, he is not living up to his billing.
Manchester United’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba
The list does not get better for Manchester United. In second place is fellow summer recruit Zlatan Ibrahimovic – although the Swede has also scored five goals in seven games since joining the club, so he can be let off.
The rest of the top five is made up of Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Southampton’s Nathan Redmond and Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.
Manchester United fans will be hoping that their big stars can soon become more lethal in front of goal.
