The latest figures have been released for shirt sales, with Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool players dominating the list.
Manchester United star Paul Pogba tops the list for shirt sales so far this season, with his teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic just behind him in second, as reported by the Metro.
The Frenchman made the move to Old Trafford in the summer for a world record fee of £89 million, whilst the Swede was signed on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.
Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil
The Metro report that Arsenal pair Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil hold the third and fourth spots respectively, but there was a surprise in the top-10.
Man United youngster Marcus Rashford, incredibly at just 18-years-old, comes in at number 10 on the list.
Liverpool pair Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane are fifth and seventh on the list respectively, whilst another United star – David de Gea comes in at number six.
West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet
West Ham United’s Dimitri Payet is eighth on the list, while Chelsea’s only representation is Eden Hazard at number nine.
Whilst some of the transfer fees paid for the players mentioned above were deemed extortionate at the time, their clubs are obviously reaping the rewards of having said star names playing for them.
Whether or not the likes of Paul Pogba will pay their club’s back with their performances on the pitch though, is another matter entirely.
