Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are reportedly interested in Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

According to journalist Dean Jones in GiveMeSport, Manchester United are looking at Everton midfielder Amadou Onana.

Jones has claimed that United have had reports on Onana, but at the moment, the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are not planning to make a move for the £100,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder.

United are reportedly trying to sign England international midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea and also have interest in Adrien Rabiot, who is out of contract at Juventus this summer.

Jones wrote about United and Onana: “Amadou Onana of Everton is a player they have reports on but at the moment he seems more an observation point.”

Should Manchester United bid for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana?

In our opinion, Manchester United need not bid for Everton midfielder Amadou Onana right now.

The Red Devils are making bids after bids for Mount, and there is speculation that Chelsea could eventually decide to sell the Englishman to their Premier League rivals.

So, we believe that United should focus on that for now.

While Onana is a very good player and has done well for Everton, he is only 21 and is not the finished article well.

If United are to build on their success from last season, then they need players who are more mature and more established who would be able to take them to the next level.
