Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has been overlooked so far at Leeds United, but Manchester United should not recall him.

Manchester United loanee Cameron Borthwick-Jackson has had a frustrating time so far during his loan spell at Leeds United.
He appears to be third choice option at left-back behind Gaetano Berardi and Vurnon Anita, and at times has even failed to make the bench.
There will be a temptation for Manchester United to simply recall Borthwick-Jackson, as they did during his loan spell at Wolves last year.

This is an idea the Red Devils should avoid, as there is little for them to gain from it, with Borthwick-Jackson’s development having stalled, he is unlikely to be of use to them either.
His situation at Leeds is a challenge, but it is one he must attempt to overcome, and not run away from.
Borthwick-Jackson evidently needs to improve, and he should focus wholly on trying to earn his way back into the Leeds first team instead of dwelling on how poorly his spell has gone so far.
The Championship is just 11 games into a 46 game season, and Borthwick-Jackson could yet have a big role to play.
If he sticks at it at Elland Road, he could yet be thrust into a prominent role for the run-in or the play-offs if injuries strike.
Manchester United must let the situation play itself out, rather than involve themselves and bring Borthwick-Jackson back, and not deny him a shot at redemption by turning his fortunes around.
