Ander Herrera’s Spain debut against England in November was overshadowed by a bitter late clash with Eric Dier.
The Tottenham midfielder accused Manchester United rival Herrera of elbowing him, with a bitter war of words exchanged at the final whistle.

After the match Dier almost threateningly suggested he would catch up with Herrera, quoted by The BBC: “I don’t need him to apologise. I’ll see him soon.”
Dier was referring to Tottenham’s fixture against Manchester United at Old Trafford which took place yesterday, except the England midfielder did not get near Herrera.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino chose to leave Dier on the bench throughout, while Herrera starred as United squeezed to a 1-0 win.
Herrera created five chances during the fixture, playing with little inhibition, as United closed the gap on Spurs to three points.
