The latest Manchester United news, views and rumours, today also featuring Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho and Premier League opponents Southampton.
Jose Mourinho
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has refused to rule any other side out of the Premier League title race – especially Manchester United.
“No, I don’t think that. [A lead of] 10-11-12 points I don’t think is a drama at this stage of the season with so many games to go. Eleven points [for United] is not much,” Mourinho told reporters.
Southampton clash
Meanwhile, former Everton and Aston Villa striker Andy Gray thinks Southampton will ‘fancy’ beating an under-strength Man United side at St Mary’s on Monday night.
“Although they have had four wins in a row, three of them were against Crystal Palace, Hull and Stoke – and you would expect a decent United side to win those three games,” Gray told talkSPORT.
“The only team of any note they have beaten was Arsenal and they were second best for massive spells. They are far from back Manchester United and I think it is a game Southampton will fancy.”
