Injured Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw has addressed fans on Twitter in a bid to thank them for their support.
The 19-year-old is currently out with injury problems – not for the first time this season – but says he is working hard to recover every day.
And the Manchester United man will be back stronger, he says, and can’t wait to return to action.
Michael Carrick
Meanwhile, Man United midfielder Michael Carrick says he is happy to deputise at centre-back but would prefer to play in his natural position.
“You have to be ready to deal with injuries. It’s happened a few times this season and, the more it does, the easier it gets,” the 33-year-old explained.
“I class myself as a midfielder and probably always will. I might have spells at centre-back, as I have over the last few years, but I’ve played for that long in midfield that I can’t class myself as anything other than a midfielder.”
