The latest Manchester United transfer news, views and rumours.
Mats Hummels
Former Manchester United defender John O’Shea says he would ‘definitely recommend’ Mats Hummels to the club.
Germany and Borussia Dortmund centre-back Hummels has been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, with Arsenal also mentioned when it comes to his future.
And O’Shea feels United can offer the incentives to lure the 25-year-old to England.
“I could definitely recommend them Mats Hummels from Germany. He was fantastic last night,” O’Shea is quoted as saying by the Daily Star after the Republic of Ireland’s 1-1 draw with Germany, in which he scored a dramatic late equaliser.
“It seems to be that he doesn’t want to leave Germany.
“But you never know, there’s always different incentives they [Man United] can offer to change that. But he was very good last night.”
Danny Welbeck
Elsewhere, former United striker Danny Welbeck has been discussing the difference between life at Arsenal and United.
“It’s a bit different in London, because obviously I was born and bred in Manchester so that’s a place I know like the back of my hand,” the 23 year-old said. “I went to school there and you really get to know the city. Manchester is much smaller so you know a lot of people in the vicinity.”
Arturo Vidal
Meanwhile, Louis van Gaal’s hopes of signing Arturo Vidal may have taken a turn for the better, with Juventus reportedly open to offers for the Chilean midfielder in January.
