Manchester United playmaker Jesse Lingard may fancy a move to Roma despite interest from both Newcastle United and West Ham United.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Lingard has three options in Italy as his United contract winds down.
Roma are one of those clubs with Jose Mourinho keen to bring Lingard to the Italian capital this summer.
English duo Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham have both rekindled their careers since leaving the Premier League for Roma.
AC Milan and Juventus are also keen with Lingard seemingly looking very appealing to a number of clubs thanks to his free agent status.
Lingard is also understood to have approaches ‘on the table’ to join Newcastle and West Ham this summer, two clubs who were keen to sign Lingard in January.
Lingard, 29, is out of contract this summer and there are clearly no plans for him to stay at Old Trafford any longer.
The attacking midfielder has played just 111 minutes of Premier League action since the end of the January transfer window and hasn’t featured at all since a dreadful substitute appearance at Manchester City in March.
Lingard, branded a ‘total player’ by Gianfranco Zola, now faces a tough decision in terms of his next club.
It’s suggested that Lingard is keen on West Ham having enjoyed such a strong loan spell there last season, but they may not be able to meet his wage demands.

Newcastle’s funding from PIF means they may be able to sanction a huge deal for Lingard and they were certainly keen in January.
The fear for both clubs is that Lingard will instead want a move to Italy and you can hardly blame him for that.
Abraham has been outstanding for Roma, getting his career back on track since leaving Chelsea.
That’s ultimately what Lingard wants too, and reuniting with former United boss Mourinho should also appeal.
It now sounds difficult for Newcastle or West Ham to win this race, but there is at least plenty of time to try and tempt him.
