Manchester United fans have urged Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld to join the Red Devils in the summer transfer window on social networking site Twitter.
United supporters have responded to the Tottenham central defender’s latest posts on Twitter and have urged him to sign for Jose Mourinho’s side.
Alderweireld featured for Belgium in their World Cup Group G game against Panama on Monday afternoon.
The 29-year-old defender started the game and played for the entire 90 minutes, as the Red Devils won 3-0.
Following the match, the former Ajax and Atletico Madrid defender took to Twitter to express his delight and also praised Romelu Lukaku.
The United striker scored twice for Belgium, first in the 69th minute and then on 75 minutes.
United fans have responded to those messages from Alderweireld and have urged him to make the switch to Old Trafford in the summer transfer window.
According to The Mirror, United are interested in signing Alderweireld from Premier League rivals Tottenham this summer.
