Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has made Tottenham Hotspur’s Eric Dier his number one midfield target this summer, according to ESPN pundit Gabriele Marcotti.
The Red Devils have long been linked with a move for Dier and are said to have prioritised his signing ahead of Monaco man Fabinho.
But after the Tottenham star’s performance for England against France on Tuesday, it appears United fans are not quite as convinced as their manager is claimed be.

Dier was one of several Three Lions stars who endured a difficult evening at the hands of Paul Pogba and co, as Gareth Southgate’s side fell to a 3-2 defeat in Paris – despite playing much of the second half with a man advantage.
