Who should Manchester United play in goal today against Wigan?
It is a question Sir Alex Ferguson will be asking himself, and hoping he has got right.
Having to make the decision for today’s game is one of his own making really, after surprisingly dropping the Spaniard ahead of the 3-2 win over Southampton.
Anders Lindegaard did not do too much wrong, but there were not too many opportunities for him to do things right either, apart from pick the ball out of the net twice after being badly exposed by his defence.
Going into today’s match against Wigan, it still remains unclear who will be selected. With a Champions League match against Galatasaray in midweek, it remains possible that one goalkeeper could play in one, and the other in the CL.
With an important match at Anfield next weekend, the boss will want to have a settled idea going into that match of who should play, even if he does not this time around.
So in an effort to gauge opinion, and even help Sir Alex and his management staff out, we asked a poll on our website over who the boss should pick, and here are the results.
Anders Lindegaard – 10 per cent
David de Gea – 90 per cent
So a pretty overwhelming verdict in favour of the Spaniard, but will the manager feel the same way?
Let us know who you would pick, and why…
