Manchester United supporters take to Twitter to hail Radamel Falcao’s first goal for the club.
Radamel Falcao finally broke his duck for Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
The Colombia international striker scored the Red Devils’ second goal against Everton at Old Trafford in the Premier League.
A mis-hit shot from Angel di Maria fell kindly to Falcao’s feet, and the former Atletico Madrid striker made no mistake in slamming it home from close range.
It proved to be the winning goal in the match, as United picked up all three points from the encounter with a 2-1 victory.
Falcao had gone close to scoring on a number of times in his previous matches for United and had also hit the opposition’s crossbar. But on Sunday, the 28-year-old eventually broke his duck and celebrated it in style.
| Goals | Total Shots | Shots on Target | Big Chance Missed | Total Pass | Accurate Pass | Touches | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Falcao | 1 | 6 | 2 | 1 | 17 | 14 | 29 | 1 | 73 |
Falcao is one of the best strikers in the world and, despite the long-term knee injury he suffered in January, remains one of the deadliest finishers in the game.
United fans were understandably delighted to see their loan summer signing find the net on Sunday and took to social networking site Twitter to express their joy.
