Manchester United overcame Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.

Manchester United had to work hard for their victory against Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, with Jose Mourinho’s win courtesy of a deflected Ashley Young shot with time running out.
Ultimately going down as an own-goal from Lewis Dunk, the strike broke the hearts of Seagulls fans and players alike and gave the hosts another massive victory as they attempt to claw back on ground on runaway leaders Manchester City.

United have a superb record at Old Trafford in recent times, but Brighton almost held them to what would have been a well-deserved goalless draw.
United play-maker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has come in for plenty of criticism this season and the Armenian international had to make do with a place on the bench for Saturday’s clash.

He came on with 19 minutes of normal time remaining and did his best to prove that he is up to the challenge after his blistering start to the campaign quickly fizzled out.
After the match we took to Twitter to see what United fans thought of Mkhitaryan’s cameo performance and you can read a selection of what we found below:
