Manchester United are said to be trying to take Sean Longstaff away from Newcastle United this summer.

Manchester United fans do not appear keen on reports suggesting that they could bid for Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff.

The Telegraph have suggested that Manchester United could make an offer for the Newcastle man, who has caught Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s eye with his performances this term.

But it seems that the Newcastle youngster’s arrival wouldn’t be welcomed with open arms at Old Trafford.

Longstaff has looked comfortable when given a chance in Newcastle’s midfield, but he is very inexperienced at the moment.

Longstaff made just nine appearances in the Premier League for Newcastle last term, before injury struck.

The Magpies are said to be eager to keep hold of Longstaff, who they feel could become a key player for them in future years.

Solksjaer is, however, on the look out for a new central midfielder and it is thought that he wants to reduce the average age of the Red Devils’ squad.
