Manchester United fans cannot believe that they are being linked with Aston Villa’s John McGinn.
McGinn enjoyed a brilliant season at Villa last term, and was a major reason behind why they were able to earn promotion.
But there are serious doubts among the Old Trafford crowd over whether McGinn would be good enough for United.
The reportedly possible transfer does seem highly unlikely at this stage of the summer.
United are looking for additions in midfield, but if they were to invest in McGinn it would be a huge shock.
Villa have no reason to sell McGinn, as they are very financially strong, so they would enter any negotiations in the position of power.
And it seems far more likely that McGinn will be playing football at Villa Park rather than Old Trafford next term.
