Lloris allowed Marco Alonso’s tame shot to slip under him gifting the Blues a vital 2-1 win, allowing them to bounce back from their opening weekend defeat.
Lloris is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League, but after his error, confident Manchester United fans were quick to state the debate over the true number one has ended.
United’s Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea is touted as arguably the best, a conversation Lloris merits inclusion in.
Fans though believe Lloris simply cannot compare to the United ace…
Lloris has made errors before but they are rare and few and far between. Tottenham fans should not worry about another coming soon.
The problem with this one was the fact it came in such a key spot in a game Spurs desperately did not want to lose.
