Tottenham Hotspur are now said to be ahead of Manchester United in the race to sign Bruno Fernandes.

United have been said to be keen on Fernandes for much of the summer but they have failed to get a deal over the line, and now Tottenham have stepped up their pursuit.
Spurs have sent representatives over to Portugal to attempt to thrash out a deal with Sporting Lisbon, as they look to bring in the attacking midfielder.
And it is fair to say that United fans are not keen on the idea of seeing Fernandes join Tottenham.
Tottenham are one of the teams that United are trying to chase in the Premier League, so if Fernandes was to move to White Hart Lane it could put further distance between the two sides.
It seems that Tottenham are looking for a new number 10, even if Christian Eriksen does stay with them.
United, meanwhile, have wanted a playmaker for much of the summer so far, but they have failed to get a deal over the line so far.
United are still being linked with Dybala in the Manchester Evening News, while James Maddison was on their radar earlier this summer (Daily Express).
