Manchester United youngster impressed despite loss.
Manchester United talent Tahith Chong made a big impression last night for the under-23s.
Chong was making his debut for the side and managed to score the opener at Old Trafford against Tottenham.
United’s young team were eventually defeated 3-1, but Chong was arguably the best player on the pitch.
The Red Devils signed the midfielder from Feyenoord in 2016 and he was immediate impressive for the under-18s.
Unfortunately Chong’s debut season was derailed by a ACL injury and he missed a year’s worth of action.
Last night’s display demonstrated he is getting back to his best and arguably even better than before.
Chong’s haircut is reminscent of first team star Marouane Fellaini making him immediately eye-catching, but his skill on the ball, quick thinking and pace make him a very different player to the Belgian.
United will certainly be cautious with Chong after his injury and a first team call up this season would be a surprise, but last night’s showing was a reminder that the Red Devils have a big talent on their hands.
