Former Manchester United winger Angel di Maria was in action for PSG against Arsenal.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Angel Di Maria
Former Manchester United record signing Angel di Maria featured as Paris Saint-Germain took on Arsenal in the Champions League last night.
While the team he left behind in 2015 after just one season will be playing Europa League football this week, he is aiming to help his side go on and win Europe’s biggest club competition.
Di Maria then will be disappointed with the 1-1 draw at home to the Gunners, a result which gives Arsenal a potential edge in their battle to finish top of the group.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani celebrates scoring their first goal
PSG could not have dreamed up a better start, going 1-0 up through Edinson Cavani inside the first minute.
For all Di Maria’s effort, they could not add a second, and Alexis Sanchez rescued a point for the visitors.
| Team | Passing Accuracy | Total Att Assist | Crossing Accuracy | Won Contest | Ontarget Scoring Att | Assist | Goals | Mins Played | |

| Ángel Di María | Paris SG | 83% | 4 | 11% | 2 | 1 | 0 | 0 | 90 |
Di Maria created four goalscoring chances and had one shot saved himself by David Ospina, but his crossing accuracy of just 11 per cent illustrates that it was far from a faultless performance from him.
United fans though were impressed with his efforts, and had plenty of criticism for former boss Louis van Gaal, whose inability to utilise him correctly played a factor in the club selling him at a loss after just 12 months.
