The former Manchester United winger scored for Sheffield United’s Under-23s this week.

Manchester United fans are reacting after a player they released this summer scored for Sheffield United’s Under-23s.
Callum Gribbin was on target as Sheffield United’s second string were beaten 4-3 at Queens Park Rangers on Bank Holiday Monday.
The 20-year-old winger was once among the highest-rated players in Manchester United’s academy, where he was a colleague of the on-loan Blades goalkeeper Dean Henderson.
But he found himself released at the end of last season after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

It now appears that Sheffield United have offered a potential lifeline to Gribbin, in the form of a trial spell at their Steelphalt Academy – although this has not been officially confirmed.
And several of a Manchester United persuasion hope that, if that is indeed that case, it evolves into something more.
This is what they’re saying on Twitter…
Having been a free agent prior to the close of the summer transfer window, Gribbin can still sign a permanent contract with any club for whom the deadline has already passed.
Another former Manchester United player, Ravel Morrison, is now on Sheffield United’s books, having impressed during a trial spell of his own this summer.
