Mauricio Pochettino is still looking for his first trophy as Tottenham boss.

Tottenham Hotspur’s highly rated manager Mauricio Pochettino is seen by many as the perfect manager after his superb efforts at the club over the past three.
Pochettino has turned Spurs into one of the Premier League’s most feared teams, and saw his side go toe-to-toe with Real Madrid last week.
But the one criticism he cannot shift, is the way his Tottenham side have continued to fall short when it comes to winning silverware.

After losing in the League Cup final in his first season in charge, Spurs suffered a semi-final defeat last season in the FA Cup, and last night were eliminated from the Carabao Cup by West Ham.
It was a winnable game, with Spurs winning 2-0 before capitulating to a 3-2 defeat, but Pochettino simply did not take it seriously enough with his team selection.

Pochettino is cast as a manager who plans for the long-term, and Mourinho the short-term, but sooner or later the Spurs boss needs to convert ‘potential’ into success.
Last night was an opportunity wasted, and it is not lost on Manchester United supporters that a man cast as Mourinho’s superior by some pundits is still looking for his first trophy.
Mourinho won two cups last season for United, laying foundations for further success and inspiring his players that they can go on and do more.
Ahead of the clash between the two teams this weekend, Manchester United fans have been having their say on Pochettino’s lack of silverware…
