Manchester United defender might have delivered his best performance of the season last night.

Manchester United centre-back Victor Lindelof has struggled since joining the Red Devils, but finally has reason to smile.
After making his big money switch from Benfica, Lindelof has played poorly and spent most of his time on the bench.
Last night was different as he starred for Sweden in the San Siro to help them clinch World Cup qualification.

Lindelof played a key role as Sweden shut out Italy to protect their 1-0 lead from the first leg and secure a 0-0 draw to cost the Azzurri a place at Russia 2018.
Lindelof can be proud of helping keep clean sheets in both matches, and this can only be good news for him at club level too.
His success was bad news for United teammate Matteo Darmian, whose Italy will not feature at a World Cup for the first time since 1958.

The defender needed a confidence boost after a testing first few months as a Red Devil, with the low point a horrific substitute showing in a shock away defeat to Huddersfield Town.
United fans were delighted to see Lindelof create positive headlines, here is a look at how they reacted to his performance against Italy…
