Manchester United fans react on Twitter to Lucas Moura's Tottenham Hotspur move

Manchester United were once close to signing Tottenham Hotspur new boy Lucas Moura.

Lucas Moura is set to seal his move to Tottenham Hotspur from Paris Saint-Germain in one of the biggest deals of the transfer window.

The Brazilian has been linked with the Premier League for years, almost joining Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United in 2012.

United were even linked with a move for Lucas just earlier this transfer window, with French newspaper Le Parisien reporting the Red Devils were keen.

Manchester United ended up moving for Alexis Sanchez instead, pulling off a surprise move to sign Arsenal’s wantaway Chile international.

This could have done Spurs a favour, as they have had a pretty free run at Lucas.

The Brazilian is a player Tottenham need a lot more than United, and is a real bargain at £25 million.

United could quickly end up regretting the club not signing him when they had the chance, especially with some fans still feeling they need a winger.

Lucas is a real bargain and there has been a real mixed reaction to Tottenham’s coup…

I hope Moura does well with Spurs cz I like him as a player, I wanted him at United long time ago and wished he was part of the deal when Di Maria moved to PSG. He’s a good player, his biggest mistake was not leaving PSG like 3-4 years ago, wasted his talent on the bench.
