That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim that United players have been impressed with the Dutchman of late.
There is real confusion over Solskjaer’s decision making as Van de Beek still can’t get a kick in a United shirt.
The £40million signing from Ajax has remarkably played just five minutes of Premier League action this season.
In all competitions, Van de Beek has started just two games.
Solskjaer is under huge pressure and the continued exclusion of Van de Beek appears to be an issue inside the United dressing room.

If Everton still want Van de Beek in January, they may have a chance of forcing through a move with the midfielder wasting his time at Old Trafford.
There is of course a chance that United have a new manager come January, which could give Van de Beek a chance to rescue his Red Devils career.
