Manchester United will allow Dean Henderson to go out on loan – but he wants a permanent move amid interest from Newcastle United.
That’s according to 90Min, who claim that Henderson has spoken to boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer about his United future.
Solskjaer has allegedly told Henderson that he can go out on loan for 18 months, running up to the summer of 2023.
United are comfortable with Henderson’s contract situation, as he has more than four years left to run on his £120,000-a-week deal.
That’s not good enough for Henderson, who has suggested that he wants to leave Old Trafford permanently.
Henderson fears his career is stalling at United as he is stuck behind David De Gea.
That means Henderson is slipping out of the England reckoning and that just isn’t good enough, hence Henderson’s desire to leave permanently.
The report adds that Newcastle are particularly keen on Henderson, which is a rumour that just won’t go away.
Newcastle need January additions to aid their battle for Premier League survival.

Henderson is viewed as a player who could help Eddie Howe’s side, either on loan or permanently.
That seems a little strange as Newcastle already have a staggering four senior goalkeepers battling for one spot.
Karl Darlow, Martin Dubravka, Freddie Woodman and Mark Gillespie are all at St James’ Park, so is another goalkeeper really a priority?
Hailed as ‘insane’ and ‘exceptional’ by Sander Berge, Henderson is a huge talent, but Newcastle may need to focus on other positions first.
