Manchester United are on the brink of sealing the transfer of Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund.
Respected German football journalist Raphael Honigstein tweeted that Dortmund have even sent an official to Manchester to close the deal, while The Sun reported that United have increased their transfer offer for the Armenian, having had a previous bid rejected.
Gianluca Di Marzio claimed in the early hours of yesterday morning that Manchester United were closing in on the attacker, and it was simply a case of documents needing to be exchanged between all parties, for a move to go through.
It is claimed United have offered 38 million Euros (£31m) to sign the versatile star, who scored 18 goals for Borussia Dortmund last season.
Dortmund had been resistant to the idea of selling Mkhitaryan but the attacker has just one year left on his contract, and the fact they have reportedly sent a club representative to Manchester to discuss negotiations indicates they can be swayed.
