Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer taken a dig at Liverpool by reminding them about their lack of Premier League trophies, as quoted in The Telegraph.

Solskjaer made the comments ahead of the Premier League game between United and Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Reds are at the top of the league table at the moment, while the Red Devils are as low as 14th in the standings.

While United have been winning the title quite regularly in the Premier League era, the Reds have not won the championship since 1990.

Solskjaer told The Telegraph: “I am sure we will bounce back and win the league. And I am sure it won’t be 30 years until the next Premier League that we do win.”

Contrasting situations

Liverpool may not have won the title in the Premier League era, but there is no doubt that at this point in time, the Reds are in a better place than the Red Devils.

The Merseyside outfit finished just a point behind eventual champions Manchester City in the Premier League table last season and also won the Champions League title.

Moreover, United have not won the league title since 2013, and it is unlikely that they will do so anytime soon.
