Manchester United are now pushing to land Monaco defender Axel Disasi amid interest from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that Manchester United have held talks to sign Disasi from Monaco this summer.
It’s stated that United met with Disasi’s representatives two weeks ago to discuss a move to Old Trafford.
The report adds that Disasi is likely to cost around €50million (£44million) this summer with Monaco looking for big money.
United may well offload Harry Maguire this summer and Victor Lindelof has attracted interest.
Disasi may be viewed as a player who can compete with fellow Frenchman Raphael Varane as a right-footed partner for left-footed ace Lisandro Martinez.

Arsenal and Tottenham also like Axel Disasi
United won’t have this transfer race all their own way though.
Transfer insider Dean Jones told Give Me Sport in December that Tottenham, West Ham United and Arsenal are all interested in signing Disasi.
Arsenal have had Disasi on their radar for a long time now.
RMC Sport suggested that Arsenal made a move for Disasi in January 2020, just after Mikel Arteta’s arrival as manager.
Arsenal rekindled that interest in April of 2020 and held talks over a £13million to sign Disasi from Reims according to Goal.
Disasi ended up joining Monaco instead but it sounds like Arsenal are still interested.
Ben White’s stint as a right back may mean Arsenal fancy Disasi as competition for William Saliba, even with Rob Holding currently in the Gunners ranks.
Tottenham will surely bring in a centre back or two this summer and Disasi would make sense as a target.
Davinson Sanchez could go and Eric Dier needs proper competition, something Disasi can certainly provide.
Yet with Manchester United now pressing ahead with their attempts to sign the 25-year-old, Arsenal and Spurs could end up missing out this summer.
