Manchester United’s Antony clashed with Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic as Brazil crashed out of the World Cup at the hands of Croatia.

Many were backing Brazil to coast into the semi-finals having dismantled South Korea in midweek.

This proved to be a major battle though and Croatia dragged Brazil to penalties before Neymar scored a superb opener for Brazil.

Croatia just don’t quit though and Bruno Petkovic took the game to penalties with a deflected strike.

Tensions were high in extra time and there was even a clash between Brazil’s Antony and Croatia’s Perisic before penalties took centre stage.

Manchester United’s Antony clashed with Tottenham Hotspur star Ivan Perisic

Antony seemingly put himself in Perisic’s bad books by attempting to win a free kick with a ridiculous dive whilst going past Perisic.

Referee Michael Oliver just wasn’t having it but the pair weren’t done there.

Antony and Perisic ended up squaring up to each other with the Tottenham star even laughing in Antony’s face.

With the seconds ticking down in extra time, Perisic sent Antony flying down by the touchline with beef between the pair clear for all to see.

Photos captured the pair going head to head as a spot in the last four of the World Cup ramped up tensions on the pitch.

Perisic ended up having the last laugh; Croatia were superb in the penalty shootout, scoring all four of their attempts whilst Brazil could only score twice.

Croatia yet again advance to the semi-finals of the World Cup, just as they did in Russia four years ago.

Perisic and co went one step better then, reaching the final only to be beaten by France.

Perisic will be celebrating tonight but when Tottenham next face Manchester United on April 25th, we may well see him clash with Antony yet again.
