England right-back Kyle Walker joined Manchester City from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
Manchester City registered a 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly game in Nashville which Pep Guardiola described as the best performance from his side since he took over.
Kyle Walker has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his feelings about playing against his old teammates for the first time since leaving the north London club.
The 27-year-old left Spurs to join Manchester City this summer for a reported transfer fee of £45 million, which comes to £50 million taking the £5 million add ons into account, reported by BBC.
The England international tweeted that he felt “strange” to play against his old teammates.
Tottenham fans reportedly jeered him during the match, and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said they were well within their rights to do so.
However, some of the Spurs fans wished him well for his future on Twitter, while there were a few who slated him as well.
