Manchester City signed Kyle Walker from Tottenham Hotspur, and he’s already noticed a big difference between Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino.

Guardiola puts such a precedence on keeping the ball, that training is very much focused on keeping the ball.
And Walker claims that when he gives the ball away in City training, it can be a long time before he touches it again.
“Here a lot of the work is technical. If you had asked me this at Tottenham, there was a lot of gym, running — a lot of volume work, as they call it there,” Walker said.

“You lose the ball in training here and you’re not seeing it for five minutes. It’s frustrating. I’m losing my head, hunting the ball down, trying to rattle people, but [Pep Guardiola] teaches you just to look after the ball.”
Walker moved from Tottenham Hotspur to join City last summer, in what was an expensive transfer deal.
The right-back has already started paying back his big fee though, after delivering some impressive performances at the Etihad Stadium.

Walker looks to have a key part to play for Guardiola’s side, and he is now in direct competition with his former club, Spurs.
Tottenham and City appear to be two of the leading contenders for the Premier League title this season, with both clubs making strong starts to the season.
Walker is part of the England squad who are set to take on Slovenia and Lithuania during the current international break.
