The Manchester City midfielder would be a useful addition to the Everton squad.
Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has already completed impressive business during the transfer window this summer, but he will surely be keen on bolstering his options further still, if he wants to guide his side to a successful Premier League campaign this season.
One particular area where the Dutchman will need to address is central midfield, with Gareth Barry close to completing his switch to West Brom, according to Sky Sports, and James McCarthy’s future at Goodison Park far from certain.
And with this in mind, Everton should consider making a move for Manchester City ace Fabian Delph, who is available for around £12 million this summer, according to the Chronicle.
The 27-year-old midfielder would be the ideal long-term replacement for Barry. He is left-footed, and excels when deployed in the deep-lying midfield role, from where he can dictate the tempo of the game.

Delph moved to the Etihad from Aston Villa in the summer of 2015, for a fee believed to be in the region of £8 million, but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular for City.
It is little wonder though, what with the world class competition that the Englishman faces for a spot in the starting line-up at City.
A move away from the club would surely benefit his development as a player, and where better to improve and make progress than under the tutelage of Ronald Koeman at Everton.
He possesses all of the attributes that makes him the ideal candidate to slot in alongside Morgan Schneiderlin and Idrissa Gueye in the middle of the park.
Delph is also wonderfully versatile, and can operate in a more advanced role, which would provide the Toffees with even more strength in depth.
And for just £12 million, Koeman should not hesitate to bring the City star to Goodison Park before the transfer window slams shut.
