Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are interested in signing Ben Chilwell from Graham Potter’s Chelsea in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

The report published today has claimed that Chelsea are looking to revamp their left-back situation.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners could entertain offers for Chilwell and could sell the England international ‘if the right offer was made’.

Defending Premier League champions City are reported to be interest in the 26-year-old England international, who can also operate as a left wing-back and earns £190,000 per week (SalarySport) as salary.

Encouraging for City

In our view, if Chelsea are willing to sell Ben Chilwell in the summer taysnfer window, then it is a massive boost for Manchester City, if indeed they want to bring the left-back to the Etihad Stadium.

Chilwell has had injury problems this season, but when in form, he is one of the best left-backs around.

And he is only 26.

Chilwell would be able to make an immediate impact at City and would be able to modify his game as suitable for manager Pep Guardiola.

The big question is how much Chelsea would want for Chilwell.
