Lukas Nmecha could make even more of an impact than Patrick Roberts at Celtic.

Manchester City and Celtic have struck up a promising rapport in recent seasons, with the Scottish side benefitting from loan deals.

Jason Denayer won the SFA young player of the year award during his loan at the club, while Patrick Roberts is set to win his second league medal over the course of his 18-month loan deal.

Celtic are proving a quality club at which for City to develop talent, while the Scottish side are getting better with each move.

City should take a look at sending their next big star over the border, promising striker Lukas Nmecha.

The teenager has scored at a prolific rate for the academy this season, and needs a bigger test.

Nmecha has 18 goals in 25 games for the under-23s, UEFA Youth League, and FA Youth Cup, and at another club might be pushing for a first team start.

At City he has young talents Gabriel Jesus, Kelechi Iheanacho and Enes Unal all competing for a first team spot, and Nmecha is likely another 12 months away from getting his big chance.

Nmecha was born in Germany but is an England under-19 international, remaining eligible to play senior football for both countries.

Questions remain over the future of Moussa Dembele at Celtic, and a loan deal for Nmecha would give them insurance for a year whether he stays or goes.
