The 26-year-old England international midfielder will have a new agent soon after his agreement with Palm Sports Management expired last week, according to the report.
According to the Sunday Mirror (5/6; page 73), Liverpool will try to sign Phillips from Leeds after missing out on Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid.
Sport have reported that Liverpool have given up signing Barcelona midfielder Gavi and are ‘now negotiating for’ Phillips, who earns £50,000-a-week as salary (The Daily Mirror).

Manchester City could deal Kalvin Phillips blow to Liverpool
In our view, Manchester City signing Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United would be a blow for Liverpool.
Now, the Reds may not be in dire of a midfielder as Thiago, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson are going strong, but City signing Phillips would make them even better in the middle of the park.
And yes, Liverpool did extremely well in the Premier League this past season, but let’s not forget that it was City who won the title.
