A round up of news stories this morning about Manchester City.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed striker Sergio Aguero will return in early January.

Aguero tore knee ligaments in a recent match at the Etihad but is expected to make a swift recovery.

“Sergio has a torn ligament and I think it will be long before that tie, probably in the first weeks of January, that he will play,” said the City boss.

James Milner has confirmed that talks over a new deal for him at Manchester City are ongoing.

Milner was named as one of the players in line for a new deal at the club when news over renewals first broke.

“The negotiations for contract extensions are ongoing. We hope everything will be resolved soon. I just want to help as much as I can as there will be plenty of games during the season,” he said.

The Mail claims Albert Rusnak will leave Manchester City in the New Year.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan with SC Cambuur as he reportedly considers life away from the club.

Dutch clubs Heerenveen and Groningen have been named as potential destinations.
