Manchester City demolished Leeds United 7-0 on Tuesday night, with Jack Grealish taking to Twitter to celebrate his goal in the thrashing.

Manchester City 7-0 Leeds United – how did it happen?

City were dominant throughout and quickly took the lead through Phil Foden.

Grealish headed in number two, and it was 3-0 before the break as Kevin De Bruyne got himself on the scoresheet.

Riyad Mahrez added a fourth shortly after the break, with a De Bruyne thunderbolt bringing up number five.

Defenders John Stones and Nathan Ake scored too, securing a thumping 7-0 win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Leeds were barely able to lay a glove on City, who had a total of 31 shots at the Etihad Stadium.

Grealish reacts on Twitter

Grealish was at Aston Villa during their somewhat bitter rivalry in the Championship, and loved beating Leeds last season.

Grealish even suggested last season that he didn’t really understand why Leeds fans give him so much stick.

Last night’s win will have left Grealish buzzing then, and he took to Twitter to send a message.

Grealish’s goal was his first ever Premier League headed goal and his first league goal for City since August.

Grealish suggested it was the ‘perfect night’, celebrating an absolute thrashing of Leeds.
