Manchester City have now also joined the race to sign £25m-rated Burnley defender Michael Keane, according to the Sun.
Everton were thought to be favourites to secure the 24-year-old’s services, with Chelsea and Keane’s former club Manchester United also keeping tabs.
Now City have decided that they too might be interested in the centre-back, who impressed on international duty with England recently with his performances against Germany and Lithuania.
In the latter of those two matches, a World Cup qualifier, Keane played alongside current Citizens star John Stones in a four-man defence, something which may have caught the eye of Pep Guardiola as he looks to shore up the back line at the Etihad Stadium.

Defending has been a problem for City at times during the Spaniard’s first season in charge and it’s believed it will be one of his main areas of recruitment this summer.
Not only that but Keane is defined as ‘homegrown’, with both Premier League and Champions League rules specifying eight players in a squad must meet that criteria.
