Paul Merson has used Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola in SportsKeeda to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane ahead of Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund.
The former Arsenal star has said that Tottenham striker Kane guarantees goals, and believes that the 28-year-old England international would be a better signing for Manchester City than Dortmund striker Haaland.
Defending Premier League champions City will reportedly sign Norway international striker Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
Manchester City urged to sign Tottenham striker Harry Kane
Merson wrote in SportsKeeda: “Erling Haaland has been linked with a move to Manchester City. I haven’t seen as much of him as I’d like, so it’ll be interesting to see how this one pans out.
“I’d personally rather have Harry Kane as you’d be signing someone who guarantees you 30 goals in a Premier League season.”

Could a transfer happen?
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Kane will move to Manchester City from Tottenham in the summer transfer window.
We saw last summer how Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy refused to sell his star striker despite the huge offer(s) from City.
Would the Citizens be willing to pay more for Kane this summer?
City have actually been linked with Kane again this summer, but we do not think that they will be able to sign the striker until and unless they pay what Levy wants for him.
Kane has scored 13 goals and given eight assists in 32 Premier League starts for Tottenham this season.
