Could this be a hint of potential transfers at Manchester City and Everton.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman and John Stones
Everton defender John Stones has been linked with a big-money move to Manchester City this summer.
It looks as though Manchester City are finally going to complete the long protracted move, if their Uefa Champions League squad is anything to go by.
Manchester City’s Samir Nasri acknowledges fans at the end of the match
Stones has been included in City’s 21-man squad for the Champions League qualifying round, as confirmed by Uefa.
The governing body claims that Stones was on the list handed to them by Manchester City – suggesting that the £42 million deal, fee reported by The Sun this morning, is at least on the cusp of completion.
Manchester City’s Wilfried Bony looks dejected
Perhaps just as interestingly, two players who have been linked with a potential move to Everton in exchange are not in the squad.
Wilfried Bony and Samir Nasri have not been included by Pep Guardiola – who is believed to be considering flogging the pair this summer and they could potentially be used as makeweights in any potential deal.

Eilaquim Mangala has also been excluded.
It remains to be seen whether Stones will become a Manchester City player, but it appears nothing is currently done. But it certainly looks like he will eventually make the switch to The Etihad.
