Liverpool’s Champions League win sparked wild celebrations across Merseyside over the weekend.

They culminated in a busy parade through Liverpool, with the players and manager on an open top bus through the city.

Former Liverpool defender Phil Thompson used the moment to take a jab at Manchester City.

He pointed out that Liverpool’s parade was bigger than Manchester City’s, after they won the domestic treble.

City fans were not at all impressed with Thompson’s dig.

It highlighted how Thompson is still bitter about Liverpool missing out on the Premier League to City, that he used this moment to be thinking about them.
