Manchester City fans took to Twitter on Tuesday night to have their say on Yaya Toure’s performance in the 2-2 Champions League draw at CSKA Moscow.
Manchester City’s hopes of reaching the knock-out stages of the Champions League suffered a blow on Tuesday night, as they surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at CSKA Moscow.
With fans banned from the stadium over previous CSKA disturbances, Aguero tapped in the opener from Edin Dzeko’s pass just before the half-hour, before James Milner slid home for the second nine minutes later to give the Premier League side what was supposed to be a comfortable cushion at the break.
City looked to be on course for a first European win since last December, but Seydou Doumbia pulled one back for the home side on 64 minute, before Aleksandar Kolarov gave away a weak penalty four minutes from the end which Bedras Natcho duly converted.
In a match which presented Yaya Toure with a prime opportunity to rediscover his form, the Ivorian midfielder once again flattered to deceive, as he looked sluggish and off the pace outside of a commendable passing performance.
While he delivered a couple of incisive balls for both City goals, a crucial give-away led to the equalising spot-kick, and fans were seemingly none too pleased with his showing judging by the reaction after the final whistle.
