Manchester City lost Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund in 2017, in a move that they will no doubt regret now.
Sancho didn’t see first-team opportunities at the Etihad Stadium, and chose to head to Germany for regular playing time, where he has become a star.
Some fear that City will end up losing other young players due to a lack of first-team action, as even Phil Foden isn’t playing as much as fans would want.
Now, the Manchester Evening News report that City could sell Jayden Braaf in the January transfer window, despite him signing a new contract last year.
Braaf, 18, joined City from PSV Eindhoven in 2018, and has long been tipped for stardom with Pep Guardiola’s men – but that may not happen.
The Dutch talent would be open to a loan deal or a permanent move with a buy-back clause included, as they have done with the likes of Douglas Luiz and Kelechi Iheanacho in recent times.

Braaf hit 12 goals and three assists in 29 games for City across various youth competitions, but the winger has yet to really get close to Guardiola’s senior setup.
Fans are far from happy with the rumours, suggesting that Braaf will prove to be another Sancho situation if he is allowed to leave the club in 2021.
Some think City will regret losing Braaf, but really fear that the same thing will happen with Liam Delap if City don’t put more faith in their young players.
