Manchester City turned in yet another stunning performance on Tuesday night, beating West Bromwich Albion 5-0.
City have been superb of late, and they completely blew West Brom away in a thumping victory at The Hawthorns.
Pep Guardiola’s men went ahead early through the in-form Ilkay Gundogan, before Joao Cancelo curled home a beautiful – yet controversial – finish given that the offside flag went up erroneously.
Gundogan added his second and City’s third, Riyad Mahrez smashed home a fourth and Raheem Sterling rounded off the scoring with number five.
That’s now seven straight wins for City and just one goal conceded in that run, with Guardiola suddenly looking like the favourite to win the title.
A number of players are in sensational form right now, and defender Joao Cancelo is in the form of his life at the moment.
The £60million full back was a little disappointing in his first season at City, but has been simply outstanding in recent weeks.
Fans have taken to Twitter to rave about Cancelo, suggesting that he is ‘quality’ and was man of the match against West Brom last night.
Others called him the best right back in the Premier League, and feel that he is now better than Liverpool ace Trent Alexander-Arnold when it comes to that discussion.
