Manchester City have sold Olivier Ntcham to Celtic.

Manchester City confirmed the sale of midfielder Olivier Ntcham to Celtic earlier today.

The 21-year-old midfielder told Celtic’s website he was thrilled to get the chance to feature regularly for a title chasing team, having never been given a chance by City.

Ntcham has signed a four year deal and City have wished him well for the future.

Manchester City signed Ntcham as a teenager from Le Havre back in 2012, Paul Pogba’s original club before he signed for United.

Like Pogba, Ntcham has spent time in Serie A, playing the last two seasons on loan at Genoa.

Now he has a chance to build on the first team football he played in Italy, by potentially getting game time in the Champions League with Celtic.

The powerful midfielder has a chance to prove to City that they made a mistake by not integrating him into the first team squad, but Celtic is a smart move for him at this early stage of his career.

Here is a look at how Manchester City fans have reacted to his departure…

Celtic supporters had something to say too… hoping that Ntcham would not be the only player moving between the two clubs.

Patrick Roberts had a terrific loan spell for the Scottish champions last season, and Celtic fans are desperate to see him return, permanently.
