Brazil beat Venezuela 2-0 in World Cup qualifying.

Manchester City fans caught a glimpse of the future on Tuesday night as summer signing Gabriel Jesus scored an audacious chip in Brazil’s 2-0 victory over Venezuela in a World Cup qualifier.

The forward made it four goals in four games for his country, capitalising on a goalkeeping mistake and dinking the ball high into the air over the Venezuelan stopper Daniel Hernandez and into the net.

Chelsea’s Willian scored the other goal for the away side, but everyone was talking about Jesus when the full time whistle blue.

The 19-year-old signed for Pep Guardiola’s side in the summer from Brazilian side Palmeiras, but is remaining in South America until January, when he will link up with his new teammates and kick off his Premier League career.

Man City fans are already excited by the prospect of Jesus lining up alongside current star striker Sergio Aguero, and Guardiola’s team could be unstoppable this season if the pair form a fruitful partnership early on.

The blue side of Manchester have already enjoyed a great start to the Premier League, sitting top of the table with 18 points after seven games, and they know they have a bright future with young talent like Jesus, Raheem Sterling, John Stones and Leroy Sane at the club.
