Loanee Angus Gunn has been starring for Norwich City all season and last night delivered a headline grabbing performance in the FA Cup against Chelsea.
He held the Blues largely at bay over 120 minutes, with the Canaries drawing 1-1 and forcing a penalty shootout.
Gunn’s Norwich were beaten 5-3 by Chelsea on penalties, but Gunn did all he could and won the hearts of supporters in the process.
He endeared himself further to the Canaries faithful with how crestfallen he looked at the end of the game, while Manchester City fans were impressed too.
Gunn, 21, has been in Manchester City’s academy since 2011 and is making use of this valuable experience out on his first loan spell.
Norwich fans would take him on a permanent deal in an instance, but Manchester City are unlikely to want to relinquish his services after last night’s display, even if he is not going to displace first choice Ederson just yet.
