Liverpool have been linked to Manchester City attacker David Silva.

Manchester City superstar David Silva has been linked with making a shock transfer move to Liverpool.

Silva has won two Premier League trophies with City and is bidding to win a third this season.

The Sun reported that Liverpool and Inter Milan are both hoping to make a play for Silva, who is yet to agree terms on a contract extension at Manchester City.

Liverpool lost star man Raheem Sterling to City two summers ago and while Silva is at the latter stages of his career he still has plenty to offer.

The Reds are not short of creative players and need defenders and strikers, but the Spanish playmaker would still be a tremendous addition.

There remains a big question over whether Silva would want to play for another Premier League club, or if he would see Liverpool as a good career move.

City are ascending to new heights under Pep Guardiola and leaving to play for a rival would be seen as an odd move.
