City fans have taken to Twitter to back Sane for success in the Premier League ahead of the forward’s proposed move to the Etihad.
Sane is set to join Manchester City
Schalke playmaker Leroy Sane appears to be edging closer to a move Manchester City this summer, with German newspaper Bild claiming on Wednesday evening that the 20-year-old had already agreed personal terms at the Etihad ahead of a £42 million move.
If completed, Sane would be Pep Guardiola’s fifth signing of the summer, although there is likely to be plenty of expectation surrounding the young forward, who was part of Germany’s recent Euro 2016 campaign.

But given the response on social media, many Manchester City fans are unfazed by the German’s large price tag, backing him as a potentially sound investment for the future.

However, despite his relatively young age, Sane has already gained a solid reputation in European football, with City fans largely confident that he has the qualities needed to slot into their current side.
Other fans were quick to point out the similarities between Sane and Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, who enjoyed a breakout season at Old Trafford following a £36 million move from Monaco.

And City supporters appear confident that their latest recruit can replicate the success of the Frenchman, who faced Sane during France’s 2-0 semi-final win over Germany at Euro 2016.
